BootVis with SP1?

hi
I used to have a little program called BootVis, which makes Win XP boot up to 60% faster etc. however, that's long time ago, and now I got SP1 installed on my Win XP, and I'm wondering...
are there any complications when using BootVis on a SP1 WinXP or doesn't it matter at all?
thx :)

Shouldn't matter....though M$ has dropped support for it. I just DLed it to test it, I have SP1 and it's still working.....

You dont really need a program to quicken boot. Most tests and checks are choises in bios.

Phoenix is redoing that entire portion of the bootup, linking it with longhorn when that's released. MS's plan in the end is to not have the bios setup anymore.

Question:

What will happen to the alternative OS's?

That sounds like a sweet deal for all chipset manufactorers who dislikes oc. I would still like to keep my bios, so Im staying clear of longhorn if this is an issue with my (then current) mobo. Im guessing support for 2000 & XP will go on for atleast another 10 years, so theres no rush.
