Ya, but with all new technology, the prices just keep going up. That is the only downfall to new technology. However, the FX 5950 Ultra will keep gamers happy for a long, long time (Like a year )

No, new tech makes prices go down. Just buy the AGP, it will have the same performance as a PCI Express, and mobos made in the next few years will have legacy AGP slots anyways.

I'm just saying when things just come out. I remember when a cd-burner cost like $400 bucks.

And to the second part of your statement. Ya, just look how long PCI has been around

Even with the PCI Express versions coming out, the AGP's will still have the dominant sales for quite awhile and even the top AGP cards (the GeForceFX 5950 & 9800 XT) will be top-notch for AT LEAST a year if not two.
