Don't know about doom 3 but HL2 will run fine. AND i have a FX 5600 with 256 it runs great. Its also great to overclock. Probably one of the best to overclock.

Still im going for the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra since Doom 3 runs best on it. Also I heard that either nVidia or ATI is supposed to come out with a really extravagent 3d card later this year and its gonna cost a grand. Any news on that?

That's just a faster Bus, not necessarily a faster chipset to go with it, it just ALLOWS faster chipsets.....

Speaking of PCI Express, im getting an FX 5950 Ultra..should i get the AGP one now or wait for the PCI express version to come?
