In the long run, who will win?

So lets say GW had to close down and they wanted to put a proper end to the warhammer 40,000 Universe by making one of the existing races the final victor. Who do you think it would be and why?

I think that it should be Imperium, because they're the "human side"... I wouldn't like it if some other race would win:( (well, except for orks) but I'll say Imperium, We are Humans, Not aliens (except for Xenos)

Re: In the long run, who will win?

Well, it sure as hell isn't going to be the Dark Eldar, lets face facts here

The Tau don't really 'invade', at least, not on a full scale. I can't really see them trying to annihilate everyone, at least, not the way the Chaos or Tyranids would.

Orks are unorganised. It has been said that if they all got together, and actually became organised, then they could probably own every other race, and in turn conquer the galaxy.

Eldar are too few to pose a serious threat. Yes, they are good, but their numbers are few, and launching a full scale war would leave them weak, thus they're out.

The Necrons don't want to get out of bed, so I guess that rules them out, at least, for the moment. There are four Necron Gods, if they are all evil, then chances are, once they're awoken, they could probably perish the galaxy once again as they did before, and then they'd go back to sleep.

I think the 'win' is with the Tyranids, Chaos Marines, or Imperium. The Imperium speaks for itself, they are humans, and they have a lot of power behind them. Chaos again, have power, and Daemons, and Tyranids are in essence, an organised swarm (unlike the Orks, who are an unorganised swarm).

The Tyranids could probably do it if more were sent in.

C'tan shall punish all the fools who follow the new race called 'humans' the 4 C'tan shall awaken soon, when that happens all races will perish! The Eldar realise there fate....why not you? The mighty necrontyr race has spoken!

Re: In the long run, who will win?

I would say Nids but I think that the "good" power will be force to aline against them and the nids would be basically aniliated. I don't think Chaos wants to win, they want alot of deaths, which they can get more of if they keep the fight going.

Necrons are ruled out in my opinion becuase the raes that they are facing them actually have technology now, which before they probably didn't. Also the 4 c'tan guides infight so i don't think they could wipe out life again.

So i say Imperium if the emperor comes back as a warp god. IF not I say tau becuase they would be leaching people from the empire.

I think it could be chaos or imperium, or at last tiranids.

Chaos are ALSO humans, bad, but humans hehehe, just think about a 2nd heresy for the final battle before GWS closes

Nids could win, but i think that GWS wouldn't let them win, evil or good, humans would win.

Re: In the long run, who will win?

lolz, pretty bad thing to say (if games-workshop had to close down) Anyways... :p I think it would be Tau cause what you here they could annihalate anything. I'm not a big fan of Tau but most likely, because:

-Eldar; extinct.
-Space marines; loss of marines (not enough)
-imperial gaurd; eventually die out.
-Dark Eldar Not enough warriors.
-Chaos....Damn can't think of a fault for chaos other than, Tau will butcher them eventually.
-Daemon/Witch Hunters, loss of warriors.
-Orks, no match for Tau guns.
-Necrons...Well I don't know.

I think that sums it up??? ;)

No i dont think that sums it up lol....there is only 1 way to find out which will win and thats by a 7 clones of the same person playing a diffrent race and a all out battle lol

Re: In the long run, who will win?

Nope you could not do that and decide after lets say eldar win.But eldar got 5 giant ships size of planet.Imperium got billions of planets. AHEM!
And tau have also few planets and of course they could not convert galaxy because they cant travel in warp making them unable to reach distant planets.
There are only 2 possible ways to "end" W40k.Only if chaos gods are destroyed there could be peace so only if "Star child" and/or Ynnead scenarios happen AND imperium destroys everyone else (eldars could hide :) ) there would be "end".If you think that Necrons cant be defeated they can,if you destroy every tomb world they dont have place where to phase out.Orks could be biggest problem, maybe making Ork-off sprays or making some viruses would help.
But still, there could be w50k with wars between more than one galaxy, sweet:naughty:.

Re: In the long run, who will win?

I would say the Imperium.
Upon the Emperors acension to godhood his view of the ideal Gavalxy will be spawned E.g. No Xenos, Physkers and Chaos.
