Tau Colour Schemes

Well. I've decided to start collecting a Tau army, and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for a colour scheme for my army apart from the default vomity-brown scheme. Thanks in advance

have you had a look in the new tau codex? the tau have some defined sects now.

Blazing Orange & Chaos Black. Works well for the IG. Must look MENTAL on Tau armour.

i used white armour and black cloth. looks good. and also the vomit brown 1 isnt the default, just the most commonly used 1 by GW. get the codex, look at their schemes.

I do a black undercoat, then paint the armour shadow grey. I edge the armour with skull white and then paint the optics blood red. I leave the cloth black.

my mate had a red and white tau army, red cloth, white armour with the extra panels, likethe middle bit of the big shoulder pad, red, looked awesome

my Tau are green armour, dark blue clothes, blue optics, black guns and dark red scept markings

I have two frieands that collect Tau

One uses this colour scheme:

Soft armour -> chaos black

Armour -> some squares with a 7/3 mix of chaos black and codex grey, and some with a 6/4 of blood red and chaos black.

Eyes and other lenses with blood red

And the second one uses this one:

Soft armour -> chaos black

Armour -> a 8/2 mix of dark angel or catachan green (i don't know wich one) and chaos black with stripes of gore red (like tigers)

Eyes and other lenses with goblin green

Hey all

I just finished painting my tau drone, im not very proud of it, im using it to test out a scheme

if you wouldnt mind could you post me some feedback in my email, such as how i can improve the scheme, or even painting tips would be brilliant!
