Tyranid Colour Schemes!

New here! Crazy! YEAH! INSANITY WOO WOO WEE WOO!

I just got a bunch o' Tyranids, built and ready to paint...problem is that the codex has very limited examples of Tyranids with a black undercoat (which all of them will have) I wanna see you guys's for examples.

Also, if possible, I'd like to know how to highlight black to more of a grey, so suggustions please!

well experment with mixing light grays with Chaos Black and see what that does.

Oh, that's not all, a complete list of all the 'Nids I have gotten in the past 3 weeks for ~$250 (Not bad for 1500 points compared to SM!)

well. if i were you, id take the pictures with a digi camera. its got better quality. and i can assure you, those tyrinids will be insanely hard to paint. but one really good color scheme that i made, is black skin, and a dark blue carapace with blood red or scab red drybrushing.

and you really dont believe in taking things slowely do you? haha

Painting, sure, I can be patient, especially with 'Nids and their insectoid-ness.

Getting models? Meh, MB was tired of losing to my BA army, so I decided to take up 'Nids or Eldar. I chose 'Nids because they're so customizable. So technically, yes, I'm impatient.

Yes I do know the Eldar update is coming out soon, no need for a reminder!

And I don't have a digi camera. T.T I know! Anyways thanks for the suggustion, but I'd like to see a pic as an example for the schemes, unless you can find a Tyranid painter online that will show a good example before I paint it...

I made a DP with a banner and on the top if it i put a genestealer head, i wanted to use a different scheme from the original ones that there are now, leviathan, kraken, etc... and i invented one, if you like it you can use it



Also i'm writing a novel about an army that me and 2 more friends have invented, it's an alliance of chaos, IG, eldar and SM(i know it's impossible) and they fight against a new tiranyd fleet, wich name is Gorgon, if you need it too use it.

PD: also if you need colour schemes, look a little in google images and there are lots of them, just compare them and use the colours you want, for example you see 2 schemes you like, and then you use 1 colour of each other.

check out the genestealer colour scheme that was in space hulk, sorta blue skin with purple bits .. erm, check out the pics and you'll see what I mean. Looks pretty cool.
