| That's a Genestealer head, Amon?? Sorry, I can heardly tell. Is it the green blob or the blue blob? In case you didn't read the thread fully: I am primering them all BLACK. So I want a colour scheme particularly that will work off the darker base coat. Stevie-Check out which space hulk pics? Where?

| try drybrushing bleached bone on the skin with a thin ink wash (perhaps blue) and then drybrushing a clashing colour (red?) onto the carapace for a light blue/ dark red mix which will look striking

| actually, i think dark blue looks better on the carapace, but thats just me. or maybe you could use a dark blue or even purple for the skin, and a dark grey carapace with light grey drybrushing.

| Yes, I do know that is legal, might do a smaller variant for a 1000 point tourney. Like the scheme, MB?

| FYI How to: For the paint job, in the movies the Aliens look mostly shiney black, but I knew that wouldn't look good on models, if they were just pure black. So, I started with a black undercoat. Then, mixed up a dark gray color that was almost black, and drybrushed it heavily all over. Next, I did a very very light drybrush of space wolf gray to pick out the highlights. Then, I did the same thing with mithril silver, but added the silver heavier on teeth, tallons, shells and hooves. After that, I went back over the heads with black ink to really darken them. Last, I sprayed them with Testors gloss varnish and that was it! It was very quick and easy, and came out with great results. MmmmMMm! Tasty!
