I'd say if you're buying from teh online store grab the skyray turret while you're there, if you don't like the railgun instead of having to buy an entire new tank you only need to switch over the turrets
But go for the hammerhead, in my own opinion it's the better of the two tanks for the following reason :
The hammerhead railgun has two options - Submunition and Solid shot.
Solid shot - A str 10, AP1, 72" shot that will punch a hole through pretty much anything, a tank destroyer.
Submunition - A str 7? AP3, 72" shot that will obliterare almost any infantry, needing 3's to wound terminators.
Combine that with the drone smart missile systems, you have a tank with the capacicty to wipe out a lot of things
The sky ray has a drone smart missle system, and 6 seeker missiles, that's about it really...it's not really the best tank out there
Over the past few weeks, it has come to my attention that people do not believe in the so called miracle of 'Melodic Doom Metal' or 'Progresive Deathcore', well you'd better believe it, it exists in the most amazing of forms - Between the Buried and me.

I've played against enough Tau as my BA to know that they can take their armour saves even after a barrage from a HH.
And I was expecting the Sky Ray to be quite a bit more anti-infantry based...Imagine if it could shoot all those missiles at once at different targets! (I think it can only choose two separate targets at a time.)
Exorcist-Now that's what the Sky Ray should've been like.

Definately, a tau style exorsist would have been cool. If i could only dig up my tau codex from where i left it

Screw tanks, get broadside suits, twin linked weapons are always better and broadside suits are far easier to hide than a big arse tank. Plus there is an upgrade to make them slow and purposfull.
I was gona say broadsides too, and get the forgeworld variants, they look sooo much better and plus they're plastic.
They have twin linked weapons so they re-roll misses and can have drones i.e. bullet sponges =P and you can have 3 in a squad, so 6 shots of rail guns, much better than just the one
Hell yeah! Just......one.....more..........quest.... If only! *sigh*
3 forge world broadsides......drool. I like hammerheads better than skyrays because the missile turret on top the skyray looks kinda weird to me. Plus hammerheads just look intimidating.
