Go orks cos they are the most fun to play, but as you have played tyranids maybe they wont be. I dont think you will get much out of warhammer if youve done tyranids and tau cos you should of mastered close combat and ranged combat. I hate marines and necrons to play cos they are boring, they can deal with everything, a good marine player is pretty much unbeatable. Assault termintors can kill pretty much an entire army of orks, they strike first, orks dont get a armor save and the best invuln is 5+. But saying that orks are fun to play cos its hard, as are dark eldar.
Iv played with most armies by just borrowing peoples stuff. Close combat armies are more fun cos you are in control of the battle if you know what i mean. Whereas if playing marines you just stand back firing til nothing is left standing, im sure lots of people like that (afterall there are onl 18 trillion marine players) but personally i like to get up close and personal and tear them apart.
I would say go orks or eldar as they are very different armies, both require good strategies to do anything with. Orks make up for the eldars fragileness with masses of green where as eldar make up for the orks clumsiness with units which can kill with ease, rather than battling a long, dirty battle where you will lose lots of men.
Basically orks are the Soviets of the second world war, overrunnin postitions with man power, where as the british would be more of the eldar, didnt give many men to the war (compared with others), but used intelligence (like deciphering the enigma codes) and had good ranged weaponry (well they had bombers like the germans did anyway). Marines are more like the nazis of world war 2 with there...we have everything and it is very difficult to beat us.
No offence was meant by that to anyone, but thats how i see it, so pick what you like best.

tyranids were the most fun for me, coz of their close sombat speciality.

Im going to go with chaos, as they seem to be the best out of the four i mentioned. Sorry about the double post.

As you have decided what to collect next, a lockage is in order here I think. Yes. I think it is.
