I got the insperation to paint this Rubric the way I did from the lead mod of the Thousand Son's modifaction, also you never seen battle damaged Rubrics. His was just a rubric's head that he painted, so I hope to one up him by painting this: a battle damaged Rubric

Nice work MB. A bit untidy, but its PIP so you'll probably fix that.

Battle Damaged Rubric Marines makes sense too. it's not like they can take of their armour to do Maintenance :P


i Should have a Particularly cool IW AC painted soon, i'll try and get a pic of him, as i just got a new Digicam from the Bootsale.
Plus i'm NEARLY done on that FW IW dread, so i can post him soon

nice, for a first timer. What you could do with the horns is do a Brown Ink wash to make them look more real. The way you'll go about it is do a heavy inking around the base of the horn where it attaches to the helmet, then a dry brush (remove a good amount of the ink) brown ink from the base up to about the half way point on the horn. It's an easy way to make a shaded horn with only two colors.

PS: That Chaos star pendent you have in your sig. I have that pendent hanging from the rear view morrior of my truck.

it is a nice pendant, anyway thanks, yer i aint done the horns yet, theyll be the next thing ill do, then its to the washes and im finished, hopefully youve noticed my dual chainsword dude, had to do abit of conversion for that

sorry but its impossible to comment in any meaningful manner on the photo. Try using the close up setting on the camera (the little flower setting) this will allow the lenses to focus on small thing at close range. good luck.
