it is a great simple way to paint blood and gore. i personally prefer the mixing red paint, PVA, and sand and grrass myself, but that is a lot more time consuming.

It's been awhile. I've got a Harry the Hammer model that I'm painting right now. I think I could get a PIP shot of 'em.

Note: he isn't guled together, he's being held togther by bitz of the yellow puddy used to make GS. Also I've experimented with some browns on the brass trim. To make it look weathered.
So without further a-do...

C&C welcome as always.

I like him, thats some good work so far MB. the red needs to be a bit deeper, but thats the only thing i can think of that needs work at this stage.
and thats personal preference too, never liked big solid blood red, seems too bright. needs to be Red Gore mixed with blood red, or darker, with a heavy highlight of Blood red. just how i like it, but its your model, you do red how you like it.

Good to see this threead back alive too :P i've beern working on my IW, i've got a Pred with FW front plate, a FW IW dread, a Vindie with FW doors, and another few squads painted. i'll finish them off totally, then i'll try and get some pics done.

Damn dude thats a lot of FW stuff.

I know the red is too bright (infact it's scab red base, red gore secound base, blood red main, & blazing orange highlight) I did the red then started the weather the trim. so right now the red is darker and I've tryed my hand at blending and the link below is the model that I'm drawing my referance from.

Warhammer - Hordes of Chaos

okay

and yeah it is a lot of FW stuff, but thats nothing compared to what i just ordered ;p 2 Bombards, a medusa, and 2 more ets of IW doors and a Rhino Dozer blade. been saving for ages lol but they should be awesome. i'm probably gonna have more artillery stuff in my army than troops choices xD good job i play Apocalypse.

Damn again. The most I have is a set of Land Raider IW doors and two dreads a World Eater and an IW. Although the WE was suppose to be a IW but who ever packed the kit fraked it up.

For me I would have gone with DKoK for my artillery & so on they look the part for Iron Warrior cultists. shave off the Aquila's and other Imperial symbols probably get the etched brass symbols of Chaos and throw them on the troops and machinery...boom Chaos foot soldiers!
