I don't have the money to properly convert one myself. In the end it'd be a normal BB without the Imperial Eagle and a bunch ov Chaos vehicle bits on it, just like every other Chaos BB.

KK I've seen your IWs on WIP, and The 4th Grand Company forums. But since I didn't say any thing there:

Their nice I being an IW my self I like'em. I think you did an ink wash on the bare headed Marines right? If you did they look a bit too shiny (to me). As for the Warsmith exellent use ov the Tech Marine. Although I like the Direct Order TM better it's still a good stand in for a WS. I like the MK2 Iron Armour (?) you used for one ov your CMs very nice, you might want to paint the base white as well to finish off the models. I wish I had the time to redo my Chaos Armour, because they are not the best looking units in my army. Hell, my first painted IW unit looks better than my pred does. I might think about giving my LR a Smilpe Green bath and start over again but hand paint it this time.

on the Bare-headed marines, they arent that shiny in real life, just shaded, the camera was annoying and makes everything look too shiny.
for the techmarine i personally prefer that techmarine, purely cos i love the helmet, but i plan to get the direct order techmarine for either an aspiring champ or chosen (no servo harness, replace with a servo arm)
I'd had that Mk2 marine lying about for 3 years, so i finally decided to use him, and i think he looks great as an iron warrior
what do you mean paint the base white? i did lol full white, then pva glue mixed with white, then snow scatter. again, it could be the shifty camera playing tricks, but the bases are solid white.

I love that MK2 perfect Iron Warrior. I'd get any ov the two Tech Marines, but with a "to do" line thats a bit over thrity models it includes a Defiler which I ran out ov spray paint. Since it's for a friend it's going to be a Word Bearer scheme and will be hand painted. I don't think I'll be getting either ov them for awhile.

i like to leave that black, as i write their names in white. i do that with all my armies, i just have yet to settle on iron warriors names.

Alright kids here is something i've been experimanting with. It's a realisitic blood effect that I found the Tute for a few days ago and this is the fruit of my labor a WIP Blooded Berserker:

Are iron warriors even allowed to have beserkers?

as for the paintjob, I lovet he blood fx.

I saw something on the GW site about making gore.

I mix some PVA glue with some sand and some water than you paint that mix on the weapons/wherever you want the gore and paint over it (blood)

In the new 'dex The Iron Warriors are just a name, and from what I've heard in codices past they were allowed to field 'serkers.

this blood effect only uses two paints Tamyia Clear Red (# X27) and black ink I'll post a link to the Tute I used.

Aye, Iron Warriors are supposed to field Berserkers, they use them regularly in the fluff. useful troops for them too, sacrifice them to distract from the main hit on a fortress, sacrifice in a breach to hold it, sacrifice to slow troops down, Sacrifice them for Target practice... not got a great lifespan in the illustrious Iron Warriors if you have a love of blood. or are just red.
