| I swear those thumbnail things dont work properly. I put 4 carnifex images in that post but only 2 are there. For a few more, go to http://www.freewebs.com/darth_exile/mytyranidarmy.htm

| Your painting is good Darth, but your only problem is that your paint is too thin on the skin areas. When you're using very thin colors like Skull White or Bleached bone,it's best to either thicken it a bit somehow or double coat, which is much easier though must be done carefully,to avoid making the coat too thick.

| Hi all, i only just noticed that my threads back open...cool!... Cloud is right Darth, the lighter citadel colours (Blood red,Skull white,Bone white) give very weak coverage but at the same time they are pretty thick and hard to spread evenly. So i find it best to water them down a little and put on at least 3 thin coats so as to not loose the detail but still cover properly. By the way...what happened to the paint competition....who won? |

| Unfortunately the results aren't in yet. We're basically waiting on Splurge to get a hold of AzH for his judging.

| Well right now, the splurge is on holiday so we're going to have to wait longer. I'm going to take some pics of my hammerhead and sky ray, and commander shadowsun.

| Sky rays are actually a waste of points in the TT unless you take the liberty of giving other units markerlights for it. Oh,and Marshall_Brant,your painting is very, very good, but it's sooooo easy to note a huge flaw with your models.Mould lines.Make sure to take an X-acto knife (A normal knife will do) and carefully shave those off.If you have an X-Acto,a good way is to put the blade towards the side of the model where you are cutting a mould line from, then gently scraping down the mould line.It generally produces good results, and doesn't have as big of a chance of making big holes or grooves where you ctu the lines from. However, you can simply just point the blade down the length of the line and cut,but it's best to angle the blade to about 30 degrees so that your blade won't cut into the model, but will shave off the entire mould line.
