The way the Emperor rules mankind is because it is the only way to stop the taint of chaos and the "superior race", the space marines are the guardians, who would rather have the imperial guard as the holy protectors?

I dont know if i should post it here, but why did humanity almost get wiped out, who was incharge before then?? Cos they had other stuff before, as they rediscovered las technology. Warhammer is way too complex lol, but i wana know what almost wiped us out!?

I know who Arogorn is silly , i meant Agron the Primarch but, nevermind i remeber now ( after looking through white dwarf again)
Also, the Emperor is a dictator and he isn't because even if he wanted to make everyone free and retarded he couldn't he's in a wheelchair ( well, golden throne , same diff.) and the High Lords have free reign over his spoils , right?
