Telos Academy Issue Just got back into Kotor II, first time playing it on my PC, though, and I've run into a small, but incredibly troublesome problem with the game. Whenever I get to the Telos Jedi Academy and The Handmaiden asks us to set our weapons down, no matter which option I take, whenever the screen fades out to take us to the Force Cages, it just stays black. It never continues from there, nor can I find anything else to help fix the problem. Anyone out there having the same issue or know of a way to fix it? The help would be much appreciated~ |
Re: Telos Academy Issue Could you please provide more details on your computers specs and the likes? Also, please check if your graphic drivers are up-to-date. |
Re: Telos Academy Issue Or perhaps some triggers were not set... did any problems occur during the installation process? Or did you try loading asavegame before flying to the academy? (still on the station or after you cleared the camp of the mercenaries / the underground base) |
Re: Telos Academy Issue :moved: to KOTOR 2 section. |

How do i check that my graphics are up to date |
Re: Telos Academy Issue First, you'll need to know what graphics card you have. Two famous ones are ATi and NVidia. An easy way to check what graphic card you have is to open DxDiag. You can open DxDiag in two different ways, depending on your operating system. If you're using Windows XP, do the following: Open your start panel and simply click 'Run'. There, insert 'dxdiag' and press enter. A new window should appear, containing every bit of information you need. If you're using Windows Vista, do this: Open start panel and you should see a search option/search bar. Insert the phrase 'dxdiag' in there and press enter. The window should open which contains the DxDiag information. If you're using an NVidia graphics card, I suggest using their auto-detector, which would be located HERE. Just click on the button "Graphics Drivers" under the header "Option 2: Automatically find drivers for my NVidia products." It would also be wise to try the "Chipset Drivers", should you have nForce chipsets or the likes. Another easy way of detecting outdated drivers, is to use DriverScanner (although it's a trial and 'scan-only'). You can get that tool HERE. And please don't start posting every 10 minutes for help, as we can't answer you instantly. ;) |
Re: Telos Academy Issue My graphics card is a GeForce GTS 250 and I've updated it to the most recent driver from July but I still encounter this same problem. |
Excuse me your missing the whole thing will it still work i mean will my game stop encountering this problem Hey look guys your repeating the same thing over and over again Graeme did you have the same did you fix the problem because i can't i've tried everything i even installed uniblue driver scan but i only have the trial version so thats not much of a help So what do i do |
Re: Telos Academy Issue I never had the problem myself, no. Alright, seeing as you mention something about screen going black right after dropping down your weapons, you might want to follow the suggestion in my FAQ (even though the subject is different, it might help). Quote:
Tell me if that brought a solution to your problem. Read this carefully though! |
Re: Telos Academy Issue Ok thanks for the help you sure this will work |
