why doesnt that driver work? because it isnt signed. microsoft is currently charging for digital signitures of drivers, no digital signiture, it trips DEP, which in some cases, cannot be turned off. is there a way around this? well using the digitally signed driver from the first KOTOR is a novel solution to a complicated problem, there is a way to register drivers manually with msconfig. if anyone knows the command line to do this, PLEASE SHARE!
also. this game uses wav files. if youre a geek you know the inherent dillemma between vistas sound drivers and wav files. creative alchemy(tm) might not be a bad idea.
the vista command(as in command line; accessories CMD.exe) to disable driver checks is bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS this hasnt worked for me, perhaps it will help some of you |
