FPS games have characters too. That doesn't make them RPGs. If your game is all combat and no story, it's not an RPG.

i meant its an rpg by itself, but at one point in kotor 3 you could go to a terminal and battle other people but thats pretty much it maybe chat with them, you still have to contiune the main story line ALONE.

lol that makes me think of a Halo MMO but thats stupid lol character race: grunt Special move: cower in fear -99 attack dmg.

btw: the only games that E.A made good IMO is battlefield, sim games and LOTRBFME (Lord of the rings battle for middle earth) and the extremely long title, and sports games. which IMO is the 2nd least type of played game.

Hey!! I did like Masters of Teras Kasi!! It did have a good storyline!! well... sort of... you know, the whole thing about Arden Lyn recovering from the strange... uh... trance induced during her battle with... er... Awdrysta Pina... and how Darth Vader hired her to capture Luke Skywalker... Surrre... it was a... little low on the gameplay dep... but still... uh... Ok, it was a lousy excuse of license exploit, but hey!! It is cool to get Skywalker beat his future wife with a lightsaber!!

Oh!! And the Jedi Knight series are cool!! Kyle's ordeal links directly to the Battle of Ruusan!! His return on Jedi Outcast was quite good, having neglected the Force, the final level was simply amazing at its time!! Dozens of Jedi duking it out in the praxeum!! Bwsshh!! Bwshh!! Though I wouldn't exactly call it a PvP, it certainly gave you a close-as-it-gets feel... Didn't like Jedi Academy's storyline, though... nor the game itself...

Anyway, It is good to know Bioware is holding sweaty palms with EA, cause now I want them even less to have anything to do with any Star Wars content. This brings me hope for the next KOTOR...

Say, it could be something like Monster Rancher, right??

From what I remember at the bioware's site they said they gave an MMO project to the kotor team not make a kotor 3. whoever makes it let's hope they are going to make it great .

Ok what everyone has said is "Ah god, i hope they dont make another star wars MMORPG they screwed that up." Well guys i hope you remember it was not lucas arts that screwed up star wars galaxies. IT WAS SONY!!! SONY SONY SONY!!!! Lucas Arts barley pays attention to the game anymore, sony is the production company that comes up with all the updates!

With all due respect, wikis are no more reliable than their sources. Since a wiki can be edited by anyone with just about anything, you shouldn't really consider it reliable unless the source is also reliable.

Actually, you'd be surprised how little involvement LEC had with Galaxies. Basically, if it didn't have to do with storyline(s) involving major movie characters, they simply didn't care.

Actually, i found the article In the news section which only admins can edit.
I use to play Star Wars Galaxies. I don't know if anyone knows about the kaadu leveling glitch, but people were doing it on the server and sony would just kill them all even if they were afk. Several times they've ruined the game and they just continue to piss off players.

As Inyri said before that bioware is owned by EA yes that's very but EA only makes EA games it's just like as if Bioware is turning into EA LucasArts should do it with Obisidon now since bioware is about out of the question except if they were going to make a K3 with Obisidion then they should have started a long time ago maybe in 05 and finish in 08 then they will have a finished FISHINED K3 but know all this Bioware crap is not true Bioware has no intention to finish the kotor series so LucasArts should get someone else unstead of laying on thier ass

This is very true I have read about this so something is happening but it's not kotor but I really hope they don't get into kotor because they will make it like Galaxies because Bioware hates kotor because of what Obisidon did

bioware was bought by ea but has not taken effect yet so whatever bioware chooses to do till they merge with ea is their label- and lordjedi how do u know it does not deal with kotor? - it makes sense it is the final kotor installment or atleast an mmo

No, Bioware doesn't hate KOTOR.
It helped make them lots of money. (But not nearly as much as Lucas Arts.)

As for what you say Obsidian did to KOTOR.... blame Lucas Arts.

KOTOR was under development for a long time, whilst TSL was started not long after the release of KOTOR.
TSL went Gold, and was shipped out worldwide after less than two years which left the game in a state that is shocking. At the behest of Lucas Arts.

2 patches later, and many things are still buggy and some not fixed when they were supposed to be.
Combine that with the fact that Obsidian were not given the chance to continue providing technical support in the form of further patches to address the many bugs left over.

KOTOR itself has bugs and cut content, though to a lesser extent than TSL does.


As for KOTOR III...... Who knows if it will be Obsidian or Bioware?
Not anyone who posts on here before an official announcement, that much is certain

What is extremely likely is that whatever Bioware and Lucas Arts is working on, will be SW related.

For all we know, it could be a new RPG, or even dare I say......
SW:Galaxies 2

Which wouldn't really bother me, so long as they did it right, and improved upno what worked in Galaxies.
