[Mod Request] Script Change: Bau-Dur can make your first lightsaber a short blade

I have always enjoyed TSL and was happy to find some mods on file planet that really improved my gaming experience, like being able to use force powers in any heavy armor.

I've tried a few dialog scripting tutorials and they are all very helpful and strait forward. However, for the change I want to make, the scripting involved is a bit over my head.

I was wondering if anyone could make a script mod that would allow the PC character to ask Bau-Dur to make your first lightsaber a short one instead of double-bladed or single-bladed (normal length). I can make him give me a short light saber at this point no problem, but I want something more natural, in that it will actually take lightsaber components and color crystal from my inventory and give me back a short lightsaber in the same color.

If your wondering why I would want this option, it is for three reasons:

1. Short lightsabers are sometimes randomly hard to come-by
2. My iconic Exile uses two short lightsabers because it's more aesthetically pleasing to me
3. The act of creating your first and personal lightsaber is important to me, and just using a console command or finding your main hand lightsaber lying around kinda puts a damper on my mental role-playing (finding my off hand lightsaber is fine however, as I figure you learn the basics with one then progress to two)

Please let me know if your interested in helping me with this, either by creating it for me as an override mod or giving me some more detailed pointers on how to copy the existing dialog and modifying it to produce lightsabers. I'm hoping for the earlier rather than the latter as my understanding of script editing is limited and my motivation to learn more is also limited.

Good clean idea

I made it for you, please check it out. I made 2 versions, one for when you have no custom baodur.dlg in your override folder and one for when you installed the TSL Restored Content mod (which I do).

Thank you for your prompt and concise reply. I really appreciate not only the work you did, but going one step further by explaining what other mods might conflict with it and adapting it to the TLS Restored Content Mod. You brought replay value to this game for me and that in itself is awesome.
