| Ok I've got two problems the first is a major one the second not so important. First, whenever I get the ebon hawk and am leavng taris and get attacked by fighters after i beat the fighters my game crashes. The second one is I can't get cheats enabled even though I enter it correctly in the notepade file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

| First: Do you have any mods (specifically mods that alter Bastila / Carth or their dialogues?) Second: Can you see the console or is it just the case that cheats aren't accepted? The console is opened differently when your game isn't English (maybe even if it isn't the US version? ) or if you have a different keyboard.

| As Darth Zipacna said; do you use any mods? Please try to see if any of those alter the cutscene entries of the EbonHawk or the departure of Taris. Taking a look at the dialogs of Carth and Bastila might prove useful as well, should you have found no Ebon Hawk/Departure ones. Your second problem is most likely caused because of usage of different keyboard settings, as mentioned above. Try pressing CONTROL+SHIFT and then the "~/`" to see if that works instead. If it doesn't, I suggest you lookup your country/keyboard settings. If entered properly in the swkotor.ini, it should work. |

| Ok I looked and the only two mods that i have that do any of the above are New Bik Movies, and Allronix's Dialog pack.

| Seeing as your crash is in relation with the departure of Taris, the "New Bik Movies" mod is most likely causing your problem. First of all, are you sure you've installed the modification properly? The downloaded .rar file contains a *.MOD file and should be put in your Modules folder, instead of Override. The other two *.ncs files should go in override. 'STUNT_42.mod' should go in Modules. 'k_ren_taris03.ncs' and 'k_ren_unkturret.ncs' should go in Override. If that doesn't resolve your problem, try deleting these listed files and see if the error still occurs. If it does, it's probably the other mod you're using, though I'm almost certain it's not. Well, it could be if your crash occurs at the exact time the dialog with Bastila is about to start. But yes, let me know if that works. If it doesn't, I'll be sure to see what files in Allronixs' dialog pack crashes your game (ie. due to wrong installation, or the such). |

| I tried playing agian without deleting those files today and I got through to the jedi enclave so I don't know why it stopped the other times and not now. But just to be safe if might go though my override folder and reinstall everything to make sure I don't have any major conflicts.

| Then I guess it was because of that certain mod which was not installed properly at all. Glad you fixed it. However, I would suggest you to use the KOTOR Mod Manager, a very efficient tool to use, if you've got a big collection of mods, or if you're afraid incompatibility will occur. You can download the KOTOR Mod Manager HERE. The use of it is quite simple. Once downloaded you'll need to extract the *.zip/*.rar, using a program such as WinRAR. After extracting, open up the KOTOR Mod Manager. Once opened you'll see it requires you to set preferences. It asks you to insert four things: the path of the two game directories, and two folders whereas downloaded mods will be in. The two game directory paths should be correct by default. The other two paths ask you for the mod folders. I would create two folders, called 'kotor 1 mods' and 'kotor 2 mods'. Those two folders can be put anywhere, although I'd recommend making it in your main partition to have easy access and avoid confusion (ie. C:\kotor 1 mods and C:\kotor 2 mods). After downloading a mod, for instance, you should unzip it. The downloaded mods should not be put in the folder (C:\kotor 1 mods) as .zip, .rar or whatsoever. Just create a folder on desktop with the mod's name. Put the mod content in there and move the folder (mod's name), into C:\kotor 1 mods. So, let's take an example. If the mod's name is Brotherhood of Shadow (let's assume it doesn't use the TSLPatcher), create a folder on desktop named 'Brotherhood of Shadow' and put the mod content in there. Then move the 'Brotherhood of Shadow' folder into C:\kotor1mods. Hope that helps. |
