Major Lag Problems On Dantooine

Hey guys, i got this game and i loved it and am getting through it well and when i got my lightsaber it rocked but now i have been sent to destory a grove and i walk out on the enclave into the plains then the lag-o-ness come over my character and it stops me moving and shows stupid moves when he is running and i cant get back to the enclave or go foward and i am i stuck, the same thing happened with TSL so i have not finished both games because of the stupid lag, if anyone knows how to get rid of this i would love you!!

I have more than that stuff on my computer so i should be running the game fine, even if i turn my settings down to low the lag still happens, i have updated my game but still lots of lag!

You need to add the line to your swkotor.ini file under video option DisableVertexBufferObjects=1 That'll kill your lag for dantooine.

BTW does that also work for KOTOR 2, i would love it then i could finish that game too, but still KOTOR 2 is not as good as KOTOR 1. I way didnt expect that little Revan thing coming my way, WHY DOES NO ONE ELSE BELEIVE ME IN THE GAME THEY JUST LAUGH I AM!

It lagged on dantooine in kotor 2 too. Why is it always dantooine? I never had lag problems anywhere else...

no, it was good because i didnt have to go back to the lag-o-world

For the visually impaired. Open up notepad then got to it's file menu and Open then browse to where you installed K1 and look for the file SWKOTOR.ini and open it. To do this you must change file types in notepad to all types. Scroll down the open ini file and find (VIDEO OPTIONS) go to the very last entry under it and add the line Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1. Then save the over the original ini file and run the game. Look maa no lag on Dantooine.

Does this work on K2? Yes. It was originally a solution for ATi cards that suffered severe low FPS and freezing on dantooine but works with all cards for K1 and K2.
