Movie Character Jedi Robes mod - specific replacement
I've just downloaded this mod and the problem just appeared. I would like to replace Qel Droma's robe with the new one, but I don't know the name of the .tga file which I have to rename the new robe's file. Pls help me somebody.
Re: Movie Character Jedi Robes mod - specific replacement
No... kotortool gives you the ability of editing or extracting files from the game, dialogue files, utc and uti, etc...
The utc file contains a number refering to the tga-file.
If the mod you're talking about was inteded to replace this robe, you can just copy the files into your Override folder (but I think there was a readme there and you want the mod to work differently, aye?).
I'm truly sorry about this, I had already produced a perfect text to explain it but since it was deleted due to... uhm... problems our dear admin had with trying new software (-.-), I would advise you to read the modding guide in this section since it
1. explains it, too
2. makes you able to edit any mod that does not please you to match your ideas (but, hell, do not publish edited mods except when the original maker expressively allows you to do so!)
Re: Movie Character Jedi Robes mod - specific replacement
Yeah, thanks for the explanation. Of course I know how to install this mode, but in readme file is a description to change the texture of the robe on the basis of its colour(blue, red, black or brown), but not of its type (Jedi, Jedi Knight, Dark Jedi Knight, Qel Droma etc.). And thats the point, because I dont know which colour is the Qel Droma's one.
Re: Movie Character Jedi Robes mod - specific replacement
Okay... I'm terribly sorry, I don't get it... you want to do what exactly? Maybe it'd help to just tell me where to get the mod and I'll have a look at it... I just get no idea what you want to do with the colours of the robes, sorry... perhaps it's just me but that all reads very confusing at the moment...
Re: Movie Character Jedi Robes mod - specific replacement
AH! Now I'm getting it! Okay, the readme just doesn't explain it close enough...
I think it wants to say (at least that's the only thing I imagine it would be) the following:
You know there are three kinds of Jedi robes and one of the dark Jedi.
One Jedi robe is red, one blue and one brown, the dark Jedi's robe is , of course black. Okay. I hope I got it right until that point. I believe that is also how far you are.
So, what you wanna do right now is to look up the cheat for the Qel Droma robe (giveitem x). Take the name that belongs to the Qel Droma robe (the "x" in "giveitem x") and, in kotortool, open the file with the name "x.uti" which should give you the texture... what was it called... texture something, in the right bottom corner of the first tab of the opening window.
Then go to the textures section and search the file with that ID and you got it.
I'll look it up myself, but not now or tomorrow since all that modding stuff is not on this computer here... I'll tell you some time around Tuesday or Wednesday if I can get it done till then. Depends on whether I have any spare time, so don't take this as a promis...

Not exactly . Ive found a solution for this. Have you read the discussion? There is the answer on my question. User comment no.17 (by Jedi Skywalker) and answer no.18 (by armelior).
BTW sorry if you didnt get it first time, I am from the middle Europe, and my English is not as good as I thought.
Re: Movie Character Jedi Robes mod - specific replacement
Oh, okay... sorry I didn't get it... well, now at least you know me
Ah, right, I just wanted to tell you:
I'm from Middle Europe, too. Germany to be exact.
