Dual pistols

Hey I know that the cultistcommando npc has dual wield pistols. I am wondering is there any download or cheat that allows you to dual wield in single player? ( downloads besides huge mods such as forcemod or MBII):confused:

As far as I know this isn't possible in singleplayer however I could be wrong.

@hyddenmyth: MBII would be a waste of time and space If you're only going for SP. The guns might be possible with some weapon and anim. modding but don't hold your breath for it.

I don't think it's possible to get Dual Pistols but I could be wrong too.

How hard would a mod for dual pistols be to make??

Re: Dual pistols

It would require source code access in order to change weapon behaviours and enable the player to use two of the same weapon, as the game engine does not consider weapons as "one handed"/"two handed", or "can be dual-wielded"/"can't be dual wielded", etc.

Basically, "real" duel weapons aren't going to happen unless Raven decide to release the SP SDK, and at this point I'm not even sure they still have JA's source code - the game is officially unsupported (but not abandonware, I might add).

On a brighter note, it's certainly possible to emulate a dual-pistol effect, with a little bit of clever model and effect editing. Requires a lot of precision, and trial-and-error. You'll still have one weapon, of course, but - visually, at any rate - it'll behave like two.

Is that like the double-bladed lightsaber in JK-Outcast multiplayer? Which sucks compared to the Academy version....?

Probably, it's possible to make something look like what it isn't quite easily compared to having to code in new features however 9 times out of 10 it usually doesn't look very good compared to how it could look if it were done properly.
