Problems: JAMP config keeps writing during the game

Okay, here goes.

I've got my spiffy .bat program which forces JA to delete jampconfig (japlus folder) and (tries) to copy a backup config because jampconfig is too long. I say tries because it never found backup.cfg because I named it wrong. However, deleting it worked fine. I'm able to host games on my own computer with japlus.

However, beeing the insubordinate fool I am, I decided to mess with the jp_highlander setting in the server.cfg. (Don't ask why.) I found suddenly that I couldn't get the game type OFF of highlander. After hours of struggling, I realized the problem is that jampconifg, which is replaced on startup but OVERWRITES itself when I join a game/host a game, gets too big. Thus, japlus half loads. Typing /gamename in-game tells me I'm running basejka. The client seems like it's running JAplus. Even deleting the jampconfig file and starting fresh still shoves too many things in there. It's not a problem with the server.cfg, because I tried it without running the config, and with setting all the "seta" commands to "set." jampconfig never overwrote itself during the game before, so why is it now? Is there any way to prevent this? I'm at the end of my rope. I've tried all forms of .bat file fixes, even one that worked for me in the past.

If I use the .bat file copy solution, I minimize the game at the menu and it's all okay. Minimize it after "starting up" screen, and it's back to its bulky self.

It seems like it's saving too many seta commands that are useless, but yet every time it wants to set them, even though they're not coming from any outside cfgs! What's going on here?

Certainly, somebody else has had this error. I can't use read-only, because the game needs to make jampconfig. I desperately need help!
