Join Date: August 11th, 2006 Status: JKA Modding Rep Power: 0 | Video Drivers I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 video card, Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs) Processor, and 510MB RAM.
About a month ago I was playing JKA and I exited to find that my screen had developed a flicker. I dealt with it for a few hours until I got a blue screen complaining about NV4_disp. I restart and about an hour later it happens again. I eventually re-install the drivers that came with my computer. They are functional, but are severly out-of-date, and I cannot play JKA or have any 3d-rendering programs running, because the drivers don't support OpenGL. About 3 weeks later I start getting the problem again. I re-install the drivers, and I search the web for updated ones. I download them from the NVIDIA website, and now I can use 3D programs again. With 6 fps. I used to get a solid framerate of about 50, at the least, and I'm wondering what I can do to imporve my framerate. As far as I know, the drivers are the only thing that have changed, and I've run out of other things I can thing to do. Does anybody have any advice?
EDIT: If you want my current computer configuration, here's a link to my XFire profile with a recent rig update: http://www.xfire.com/profile/tythejedi/ |
