exclaim gtk 1.4 spheres and model scaling!!!!

hi all i was just wondering how do i make spheres i make a square(a perfect 1) and then i go to curves and it says sphere but its light gray( i cant click on it!)
what do i do??? also when i make curves (of anykind they are invisible when i deselect them and then they dissaper and i cant add thextures to them either!!!) one last question i have a car model i wanna use but it is tini tiny when i try putting it in (most other models r fine) how do i resize models in radiant (1.4)...ty in advance~~~

1.
Click on "cone" instead.

hit the "xyz" button till you get a side-on view. Hit "v" to enter vertex editing mode. Move the top vertex into the middle vertex so that it is on the same vertex point as the other one. Hit "v" to go out vertex editing mode. Change your view to the top again. Clone the mesh. Rotate it using the 90' rotation buttons until it us vertically flipped. Put it underneath your other previous "cone". Select both cones, hit "v" again. Drag in the vertexs at the corner by one square towards the center.

I explained that very briefly, but here's a link to a map I made with a "perfect" sphere.

Hit "n" to bring up the entity properties. Type the following
key:scale
value:0.5
The value determines the size, 0.5 will half the size, 2 will double it.

At least I think it's "scale", but if that doesn't work, try "modelscale"

i figured out the model scaling after posting this ... it is modelscale i forget where i saw it or maybe i juss figured it out.........idk anyways alright i got the whole cone thing Y DIDNT I THINK OF THAT LOL i made cirlcles and then i rotated them till i got a sphere lol pretty bad quality....thanx oh do u no y my cones dont show up in gtk but show up in game???????? NEVER MIND!!!!!!!!!!!! I FOUND A MUCH EASIER WAY JUST GOT TO BRUSH MENU AND GO TO THE BOTTOM WHERE IT SAYS PRIMITIVES AND SELECT SPHERE TYPE HOW MANY SIDES U WANT AND WAHLAH !!!!!!!!!!! YAH!!!!!!!! ty for your help anyway though...
