Exclamation The evil Disk 0 and the evil Data4.cab

SSDP

Same Shit Different Person.

Yes, yes, yes, my attempts at installing Jk3 into my computer is a tragic failure because of that terroristic "Disk 0" popup.

So how do I fix it?

For the newbies:
about 2% in to the installation it asks me to insert Disk 2 for data3.cab. So I do that. Before anything else can happen, it pops up a window, asking to insert a "disk 0" for data4.cab. Unless I got the wrong jk3 CDs, I have no disk 0. What do I do?

and a sidenote: when I download a data4.cab off the internet, it asks me for a data5, then a data6, and goes on endlessly with numbers. And I can't find a data70.cab. It shouldn't do this! How do I fix it?

it has nothing to do with the CD... I've been able to successfully install Jk3 before, but forgot how I fixed this problem. It's also worked on my friends' computers

plz don't post unless you have something useful to say

Okay, install the game until you get to the point where it asks you for DISK 0, Data4.cab

DO NOT PRESS CANCEL INSTALLATION, doing this will erase the game files, and erase the registry key inputs in your windows registry...you need this in your registry to install the patch.

file. Once this happens, press CONTROL/ALT/DEL keys (do this only once), once the 'Windows Task Manager' comes up, shutdown the 'JEDI ACADEMY INSTALL' process.

Okay, the game is now installed. Go get the patch 1.01, and install it as you would any other game patch.

To start the game, just go to the install directory. It might look like this C:\PROGRAM FILES\LUCASARTS\STAR WARS <blah, blah,blah>\GAMEDATA

Now click and drag JASP, and JABMP to your desktop, and choose the option for creating a shortcut. If you play single player, just click on JASP, multiplayer, just click on JAMP.

Also, DO NOT USE THE NO CD PATCHES, the cause a failure in Multiplayer. The error might look like this 'CL_PARSEPACKETSENITIES', the NO CD patch(s) are causing this.

Just put CD1 into your drive, and off you go...Have FUN!

That doesn't work for me. How does the game be "installed" when just 2% of it has been installed?

The patch just tells me that Jedi Academy is not installed
