problems with MP...
 

Well i have this damn problem with MP. with version 1.01.
Each time i try to join a server , while loading the game a 'JKA has made a blah blah error and it will be closed, an error log has been made. <OK> button.'And the whole game closes.
Its weird because i went thru all the single player game and i even play MP in the 1.00 version fine.Everything with the highest options and it works perfectly.

So does anyone know how to fix this error?

i have a similar problem and i so miss jk3 and my friends on there :(. 1 day i started multiplayer up and before it got into game (startup screen) the error ecurred like what happened to maxtwo i can play sp but not mp so ive reinstalled several times trying it different ways tho i still can get it to work.........
guys if u had a similar problem and fixed it plz plz plz plz tell me how

man, i have posted 4 replys in 2 minuites! your problem could be a few things: #1. u need it in the applications folder. #2. u might not have enough memory in your computer. #3. u might have a mac and got a pc vesion or vice versa. #4. some games don't bode with other programs(ie n.o.l.f.e2 don't work with quicktime player)

1.well its in the program files folder 2.i have over 60GB left on my comp 3.i have a pc and i use pc jk3 <-it worked b4 4. hmmm do u mean that cus i have them on my comp the game dont work eg quiktime player makes the game not work, so i have to get rid of sum stuff like that.

sry, im not very good with pc's(being a mac person) but u should check lucasarts. they have a list of programs that don't work with games.

i have quicktime and the patch 1.01 installed and can play MP. my system is WinXP Pro SP1, DX9, latest drivers and i have no problem.

Someone is talking an absolute load of B******* .

1. Check with the home site for your vid card that you have installed the most up to date vid card drivers.

2.Check that if you have a firewall, that the JK3 mp exe file has permission to go on the web or it will repeatedly crash at this point.

If you are saying that it worked before, but now you are trying to join a server and you cannot, then something has happened since you installed. Save all your custom games and maps. Do an uninstall, then use RegCleaner(google for this exact spelling) to do a registry clean. Reinstall with your original disc and update with the 1.01 patch which has improved support for MP any way.

There are many other reasons why youmay not be able to join a server, but it looks like you ain't even getting on the web first, so try these first and see if you resolve your prob. Then I suggest you search these forums under a topic like "Server" and see what you get.

i just said that SOME programs interfer with the game, the n.o.l.f.e2-quicktimeplayer was an example. (and it is a true 1, ever tryed playing n.o.l.f.e2 with quicktimeplayer? not pretty)
