Need help with a skin I downloaded!
 

Yeah well I just downloaded a Darth Vader skin for Jedi Academy. I downloaded it into my base folder and extracted it into the same folder. When I went to go and play as Vader in a new game he did not appear. I read the read me file and all it said was download it into the base folder and extract it which I did. I have downloaded other things for the game that go in the base folder (ex. blood, hilts, saber colors) and they are working so why isn't the Vader Skin working? It said it was for Jedi Academy! What am I doing wrong?

Please respond as quick as possible. I want to play as the Dark Lord.:saber:

Where did you download the file from? If you got this file from jedimoves.com. it will be something like Vader.zip. Double click (in XP) and it will open and you will see a file inside, Vader.exe. Double click this and you start the instalation wizard and follow the instructions, which will install the file for u in the base folder.The jedimoves site makes this as painless as possible.

Do not download files into your base folder and try to extract them.

My bad. I downloaded the skins from the site you gave me & I went into the game to see if they worked and no pictures come up so I can create him. Nothing at all. I went into my base folder and sure enough it was their.

So what is the problem. Did I install it wrong? Do I need a patch? I am back to square one!

How many other custom skins have you got in the character selection screen? when you select profile. You have to scroll carefully down, it only shows about 3 lines of 5(or 6, I can't remember exactly) skins at one time if everything is oK you should see your custom skins among the other skins that came with the game. I have to say the scroll is a little sticky, so persist.If it still is problematic select a character in the box and then try scrolling down. You should come to a point where your skin pics finish and there is black space where there are no skins. If you are not seeing this, then you are not scrolling down far enough.

If the above does not locate your Darth Vader model, the next thing you could do is remove all other custom skins (.pk3 files) from your base and remove it using the deinstallation wizard and reininstall it as I described originally.

See what happens, Good luck.

You do know that the Darth Vader model is for Multiplayer and not for Singleplayer?

I just realized that. Is their any way I can use this vader skin or any skin to be precise in SP?

u can extract into the base directory, as u like from, where u like, what's the problem?

as long as it's a valid pk3 file it really doesn't matter
