u mean the blue and yellow sabre styles? (fast and medium)

u should just be able to toggle between them (default L)

when u say "flicks straight back" u mean u change to blue style and it flicks back to yellow style?

Yep, but its the save thats the problem. Looks like i'll have to start again

What I really need is some sort of console command to reset evrything, I have a list of all console commands but it doesn't tell you what they do. Grrr

I have the same problem. I FIGURED IT OUT!!! Basically if you do the setforceall (x) command it causes the problem. You can only use the blue style. It wont let you switch. Initially you can go to the red style and the yellow one BUT the moment you go into the blue style it locks you in there. you can't get out. Well after doing each of the addsaberstyle commands indivually I found out the problem is with the addsaberstyle dual. The others worked fine. just that one was a problem.

I binded a key so it had all of them except that one. I figure it must be some bug/feature that is keeping it from working right until you actually are supposed to have it. anyway my alias is as follows (type in console or directly in jasp.cfg or even in autoexec.cfg. if you dont have them make one)
bind x "addsaberstyle desann; addsaberstyle strong; addsaberstyle fast; addsaberstyle tavion; addsaberstyle strong"

The only other one I saw was dual BUT you may not want to use that one until you actually get a dual. IF the problem happens while playing with the dual configuration then I think it may have something to do with either the Tavion or Desann one or even both.

Hope this helps pegg. I had the same problem and your post inspired me to look for the solution. FYI it has NOTHING to do with your savegames altho they will be affected due to the config change.

Lightbulb Re: stance problem

I also have had the same problem when applying stances in bulk ie:setforceall 4/setsabeall 4. In JK II to get all five stances you simply needed to type one of the above codes. When I started JK III I tried the codes and was pleased to notice two new stances for a total of 7 stances. Five single, one dual, and one staff. All was fine until I updated using the patch 1.01. After that whenever I would cycle through my stances I would get stuck on the slightly modified single blue style that you get as a singleBladeStyle alternative when using either dual sabers or the very acrobatic staff saber(the modifications are to the kataMove, lungeAtkMove, and the jumpAtkFwdMove which are taken out for balancing purposes I think). But before the patch I am quite sure that one could cycle amongst them freely with as long as you had only a single saber. I found that the patch was quite worthwhile though since it among other things allows one to alter the default katas, lunges, jump attacks, etc. by getting into the saber.sab files and doing a little edddittingg. Also if you are just starting the game and want to have a new saber stance learned then pulldown the console with cheats enabled and use the addsaberstyle command to "learn" tavion, strong, desann, fast, possibly the other stances as well :dual, and staff. without getting stuck between blue and yellow.

Talking Re: stance problem

I was playing the game for a while and it finally got to me too, so I came to this forum and see if there was a solution. Yes, you can bind a key to add the other remaining saber styles, and it will work, but you can't use "setforceall 1138, 5, or 3" because that will add the other two styles and pressing that key again won't help.

So, I played around with it until I found out how I could use the "setforceall" command and be able to switch the 5 saber styles. This may have been solved before, but I haven't found anything on it yet. I came up with this solution:

There is a command called "setsaberstyle X" where X represents tavion, fast, medium, strong, or desann. It will set your saber to use only one style, removing all the others, including the dual and staff styles.

Knowing this, you can bind any key.
e.g.

bind s "setsaberstyle tavion;addsaberstyle fast;addsaberstyle strong;addsaberstyle desann;addsaberstyle medium"

You can set your saber to any style initially...and then add the other four. I just happened to start with tavion, my personal favorite. Once you have a key bound, after you use "setforceall" you can press it, and you will be able to switch among your saber styles as in JK2.

NOTE: if you use "setforceall" after pressing the key, you have to press it again, otherwise you will once again have the dual and staff styles which caused the problem in the first place.

Happy gaming...

Oh, I don't advocate the use of cheats by any means. I just use them to make the game more fun after I've played it through, and I wanted to share this with those gamers who do the same.

P.S. I'd like to know if anyone else figured out a solution for this somewhere. If anyone knows, please post the link.

P.S.S. Pressing the key won't have any effect if you're using the dual or staff sabers, so no harm done there. It will only work with a single saber, as it should be.
