Siege: Geonosis OK since $Micheal$ and Obi 1 (typo) have posted about their siege maps, then I'm going to post mine to. It's on the Geonosis battle. It'll be cool, but I don't know anything about moddeling and I need new vehicles in the map, such as the AT-TE http://www.starwars.com/databank/veh...tte/index.html and those transport ships that the republic have and those roling, missile shooters (ect). If anyone wants to have full credit on these creations and wants to make a great siege map or is just plain bored, then PM me or post here and I'll see what you can do.:deal: :feedback: |

Re: Siege: Geonosis OK, I've got an idea about the objectives. 1. Clear a landing spot for the republic to land. 2. Destroy the three 'stations' that lock the doors to the canyon. 3. Destroy the trade federation ships (big round things). 4. Destroy the second doors to the canyon beyond. 5. Help the clones defeat the droid army. These are the Clone's objectives, the Droids will be the exact opposite (nothing shocking there). To do this, I need to know: If it is possible to spawn NPCs that have sides (for number 5.). If a breakable brush can also move upwards (for number 3.). Were I can find a tutorial that tells me clearly how to make objectives for a siege map. And finally: is anyone interested in doing loads of models for me (u get all the credit) here they are: The AT-TE Those big spider looking things Those big gun turrets that shoot the Federation ships Any sort of repblic tank looking thing (look in the game for game cube: The Clone wars) Any sort of federation tank things (also look at The Clone Wars and EpI) turrets for the federation (again look at The Clone Wars) I know this looks like a lifetime of stuff but I think these are imperative for this siege map to work. :deal: PS: Before anyone says "Make it yourself" I'd like to say that I've tried modeling and am terrible at it so that's out of the question.:D :D |

Re: Siege: Geonosis Yes I have to agree, wouldn't the Trade Federation battle ship cores be too large? After all they are taller (not wider) then an entire star destroyer, so getting even one to fit in a map would be a pretty big problem, not to mention you'd have to model one yourself and you'd most likely have to make a very huge map. |

Re: Siege: Geonosis Actaully to say the least I was disappointed with the Republic Gunship, not so much with the design I thought that was pretty good but rather with it's weapon systems. Missles just do not work for air craft, they are just too slow and I often actaully end up flying ahead into my own missles after having fired them. The missles are also set for left and right click which I really can't see a difference in the missles. (Was there supposed to be one?) But to get back on topic, if you're planning to have an air based map, you'll have to make it expansive. Beyond the Geonosian Arena (if you intend to put that in) to the vast fields. |

I also created the thread to give requests (see 1st page). I know no one how is a modeler, so e-mail does not work and I haven't been around long enough to know that u don't showcase without screenshots so could all who post here please let it be revelant to the topic 'cause this thread is goin' off topic. |

Re: Siege: Geonosis Don't worry about droid starfighters and geonosian fighters, they were both made, though in the minwhile, all there is are the models, both made by KHarMa. I already tried making the droid starfighter into a vehicle, but it had too many polys. KHarMa said he will fix it and send it to me again. He didn't send me the other ship yet, but by the screenshots, it's beutiful :D |
