Vehicles with gunner(s) - is it possible?

Since JA has both driveable vehicles and manned turrets, would it be possible to create a vehicle with a driver and a gunner or gunners? Sort of like HALO? I'm not into modding or editing, I just thought I'd throw the idea out there in case noone has tried it yet.

I realy doubt that. Though I do think it is possible that a vehicle would have more then one person on it.

Go play Halo or Plantetside if you want something like that...

if there is a game which uses the quake 3 engine like jk3 which has pilot/gunner vehicles, then theres a chance but again, its all to do with the yet-to-be-released code

in sp you can shoot guns on the speeder bike. But thats not MP :uhm: can you shoot with the x-wings and ties in MP? I saw a few maps made that you could fly xwings in MP... so can you shoot em'? Its basically pointless to fly ships around (like flying around an empty map) without being able to shoot :)

Yes you can shoot from them.

If vehicles can have more than one rider, then it would be possible to specify who drivers and who shoots....but you'd probably have to re-code it. Right now is it possible to get more than one person in a vehicle? Not looked into it that deeply yet.

I was curious, is there only one animation when the pc is riding on a vehicle, I have the speeder bike and stap models and the animation looks the same for all of them(it looks like the pc is taking a dump when riding the stap)? Also I seem to remember that you can use a cheat or something to carry around and fire the cannon used on the atsp, so maybe a vehicle type weapon is possible, or a mod that will allow you to use a special weapon (like a cannon) while on the vehicle. Alos, if someone where to model a vehicle that had room or a compartment for additional people, I do not see why it would be impossible to have a vehicle with passengers, and yes a battle "buggy" like in Halo would be cool so piss off tfighetpilot(cannot even spell "fight").

Yeah even a vehicle that would allow passengers to ride on or in it would be cool. I just thought it would be a neat thing to do for a Siege map.

Maybe what you could do is have a vehicle that has a large flat platform on top with several emplaced guns or something.

ATST has guns! Thats a vehicle.. so it is possible.... and if the x-wings have guns, then you can have other vehicles with guns... its just i guess raven thought it would be cool (and is) to use your saber when riding a vehicle... and it is! So dont worry about it. Im sure it will get made.

Re: Vehicles with gunner(s) - is it possible?

It could be cool if there will be a driver which controls the vehicle plus one emplaced gun in the front, and two more places on the side where other players can stand on, and either shoot with a blaster, or use their lightsaber

*is missing Planetside* :(
