Modeling help

I possess no thought on modeling but I need help with something. What I'm trying to do is take Haplashes Episode 5 Luke model and replace the outdated head with Toshis newer and better Luke head. I first tryed to go into the .skin files and replace Haplashes coding for the head of the model with what Toshi used for the head. I thought it would work but I was wrong. It seems sort of simple but I have no idea how to do it. I might just end up sending it to someone who can help me.

If you want to switch heads from one model to the other it requires 3d software and a few editing steps, that's why it didn't work.

And without the source files from both authors you'll have to completely redo all the weights and recompile as a new model.

I bet if you send Hapslash a message and say "Hey, can I replace your model's outdated head with a better one?" he'll jump right on that and say "Sure, buddy, go ahead!"

Couldn't you just reskin Haplashes Episode 5 Luke's face.
