My eye is keenly tuned to 160 pixels due to being a moderator here for so long. I KNOW THE PIXELS.

The signature image is 160 px, the extra few pixels is the disclaimer. ;)

Its not technically needed any more, but it looks a little more professional i think.

I'm about 110% sure that 160 pixels regulation includes text. And since the disclaimer is no longer required, it's part of your sig.

Who cares about a few measly pixels in Nozy's sig? This is a mapping contest we're talking about! :smokin:

Two questions:

Are collaborations allowed (two or more people working jointly on a single entry)?

Are the skill categories based solely on Radiant/mapping ability, or do they include other skills like Icarus scripting?

I wonder this is as well because despite being interested in the contest I really only want to do it if I can do it with a friend, I'll be happy to ramp up the "skill level" to advanced if multiple people are working on it to be fair, as well as only submitting it under one name (but crediting the other person ofc).

I am going to stick my neck out here and say yes; you can do a collab. with a friend. No more than two people though, any more and you get into group territory and that becomes a lot more complicated. When you submit and enter your developer name, it would have to be that of you and your friend. As an example, on the download page, the developer name would be 'Starsky & Hutch', etc. ;)

Things like scripting would work into that. It would be intermediate or advanced depending on the complexity or number of things in the map that are affected by the script. Say you have one or two objects falling off a shelf, you would say that is intermediate. If the entire shelf collapses and boxes tumble around randomly, that would be advanced, if you get what i mean.

Whether we do the skill levels depends largely on how many entries we get. If we get 2 entries for beginner, 1 for intermediate and 1 for advanced, there would be no point voting on each skill set individually. In a case like that i would group them all together and then the staff would pick the 3 best/most inventive/most interesting maps to be voted upon.

I hope that helps! :)
