Default Editing an already exported level

Hi, I was working on a level, and I exported it and deleted the file. Now I realized there are some bugs in the level. Is there a way to import it back?

It is. I was joking, since it sounds like he wants to edit someone else's .bsp file. I mean who deletes their map file right after they compile it? And even still, can't you just restore it from your recycling bin?

I have a mac and I was stupid enough to delete my trash. I'm not much of a coder. Yeah, it does sound phoney, but I'm serious.

I dont know if i'll get in trouble for posting a converter, plus since your on a mac, i dont tihnk it'll work for you at that, as far as i know .bat files are windows associated, but never ever delete your souce files, i keep all mine backed up and release my maps in revisions 1.0 for the first release, then get feedback fix what the players want, then releease as a 1.1 or etc., you should have an autosave file tho

Hope I won't get in trouble for posting this...

Anyways, here is my tutorial for decompiling .bsp files into .map files. Please do NOT use this method on any map other than your own.

1. Create a folder in your program files called "Convert"

2. Then, put q3map.exe (found in the GTKradiant folder) in there. Also put the map you want converted in there.

Next, type in CMD

cd C:/Program Files/Convert

Then type the following:
q3map2 -game ja -convert -format map mapname.bsp
