Default Leftie Saber

I think it would be cool if you were able to hold a saber in your left hand instead of your right. I can imagine this being possible by removing the right saber in the twin blade stance, but it'd be cool if you could have it so you did the regular fast, medium and strong moves.

It would just require an animation mod.
Slight issue is, it wouldn't match up server-side, so don't expect collisions to look natural.

EDIT: Actually, it's bolted to the right hand..a code mod might be needed. Not sure, I don't have the source available at the moment =\

maybe thats why it not was done in the first start. so raven chose to only do it for the right hand. but for duel sabers you could maybe do the animations for it BUT would need to have a code mod for it also.

Big waste of time, changing the bolts would work but it wouldn't match up with A LOT of animations where the swing starts out with the right hand.

I've found that you can do this to a certain degree in SP by noclipping out of a map, throwing your right lightsaber (must be dual wielding lightsabers) then going back into the map's boundaries, while your lightsaber will eventually return to you, it won't ignite unless you switch weapons.

There is an easier way to do this in sp and mp. Open up the assests1.pk3 and look in extdata/sabers. There you will find a file called empty.sab. Open this up. Now find a sword mod that doesn't have a saber/sword trail and copy the commands: nolight 1 and noglow 1, and there might be others. Put those in the empty.sab file and save and put it into a pk3.

Now you can use that in sp and mp with the command: saber empty kyle and you'll have Kyle's saber in the left hand only.

There are lots of reasons why animating a saber style for the left hand is not worth it. I considered doing this for my Link's sword and shield style but decided against it.
