Radiant saving problems

Hey everyone. I'm fairly new to mapping, and have been trying to start a map, but I've encountered problem after problem, which I've successfully fixed up until this point. I started making my map, and I got a fair amount done (a few hours worth), and saved it. However, when I went to load it later, it said that I had 0 brushes, and 0 entities (It just showed a blank graph and blank 3d view). So I took a deep breath, and re-created everything I had previously made. I went to save it again, this time I went to load it before closing it.. Again, no brushes or entities were on it. Also, when I went to save it, for some reason some brushes I had deleted earlier re-appeared. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong :/. Any help at all would be extremely appreciated.

Do you have Windows 7? And are you using GTKRadiant 1.5?

I posted a fix for that in the help section.
File -> Options -> Untick the box regarding Win32 file save dialog.

er? :/. Unless I'm missing something, my radiant doesn't have File -> Options.. I also looked under preferences and found nothing similar.

Also, would anyone be willing to give me their msn/aim/etc. to help me with smaller things that are too trivial to create a post about, but that I can't find an answer for?

I'm mostly familiar with Radiant 1.4, but I'd be happy to help out whenever I'm online. You can find my AIM in my profile.
