Few vehicle questions...

Well... I'm not sure if these are stupid questions or not, but, here I go :)

1: With vehicles that can hold multiple players, is there a way to make it so you see the other player in a different seat? Example: In a landspeeder, the driving player you see in the left seat, and the passenger player you see in the right.

2: Is it possible to have to a rotating turret on as one of the positions on the ship? Like the Millennium Falcons guns. I do know the Lamdashuttle has wing guns the passenger can fire, but you cannot move them.

3: Can you have vehicles with like... full control? Like almost X-wing Alliance piloting? With Rotating, Complete rolls, complete pitch rolls?

4: Is it possible to have Water-only vehicles? Such as a Bongo? :)

-This next one isn't really a vehicle question, more of a model question.

5: Can you have a model with an obscure bounding box? Like, for an At-st, you'd be able to walk between it's legs without it crushing you. Or with a Lamda-Shuttle, you'd be able to walk on it's wings, but be able to walk between them as well?

Well, there I go :)

Re: Few vehicle questions...

1. I haven't seen it done. You probably could though.

2. I'm pretty sure I've seen this.

3. Yep. From what I heard.. it wouldn't be easy, however.

4. I guess. I mean, its possible for vehicles to bounce off water, since the game recognizes water as a completely different material. You could reverse it. It wouldn't be realistic water physics though.

5. This one, no. Unfortunately, with the limitations of this incredibly old and outdated engine, comes the limitation of bounding boxes.

Basically, most things can be done with coding. In fact, the JKG team is already doing things like these, not necessarily vehicle related, but similar coding feats.

All of these issues can be solved with coding, if that was the answer you're looking for.
It's no weekend retreat, but it's certainly possible.

Well, that's cool to know.
