Default changing the head of a player model

hi all!

since jedi outcast i wanted to change the jedi trainer head with the one of the jedi "standard".
is there any way to do it in simple way, i mean not using a 3D modeling program?
i see in modview that head and face are already separated, and the face texture too.
don't know how do it, but should be some kind of "copy&paste/rename" work!
i really want to swap that heads !
thanks for the help!

I don't believe the face textures are 'UV mapped' the same way (A UV map is how the game knows how to apply the 2d texture onto the 3d mesh) so you're gonna have to get dirty with an image editor like Photoshop or GIMP.
You can alter the files, and resave your altered ones in a PK3 (retaining the file hierarchy too, IE: models/players/jedi/face_head.jpg) and it will work in-game, so give it your best!
There's plenty of tutorials in the sticky's here.

Then you WILL need XSI Mod Tool.

If you want the jedi trainer to use one of the standard Raven jedi models just change the textures around. There are a plethora of skins like this on jk3files.com.

If you mean jedi body as in one of Hapslash's then that will require more work.

You will have to resetup the head model as well as reweigh it if you wish to switch out the heads. Welcome to the art of frakensteining other peoples work.

What goes inside my base folder is no one business but my own. My choice as to what I put in it and take out of it.

Yes, a non-classy act most people look down upon. (Hence not suggesting it at first <.<)
