Mass effect species im just throwing this out there to see what people think about Mass effect species for JA. Im talking things like the voorcha, Asari, Turian, Solarian, Krogan and Quarian just to name a few. Well i guess what i should be asking is would anyone besides me be interested in this? its nont really a request but i kinda want to see what peoples take on this... And before ANYONE says "go play mass effect if you want to have mass effect species... Blah blah blah im an asshole" I do play mass effect.... I recently got Mass Effect 2 and im playing the living hell out of it... Go turians! yay! =p |
Re: Mass effect species I'm sure that a lot of people would be interested, but nobody wants to go through the mountains of work required for such a task... I mean, most people won't even want to contribute to a skin pack for the existing species, let alone brand new models and skins for a bunch of new ones! |
Re: Mass effect species um.... would it help to have reference pics for people who dont play Mass effect and want to know what the hell im talking about to begin with? if so i can nuke up a few pics here when i get the chance :) |
Re: Mass effect species Adding pics won't change the truth of what I said... |
Re: Mass effect species Oh i know, Im not asking for anyone to do anything, i just thought i would throw something out there as a disscussion. Like for instance letsy say hypothetically someone says there are going to do this, yays? nays? Just trying to get something goin here Srry :P |
Re: Mass effect species If someone is willing to do it, then they can have at it. I have absolutely no objections to any mods of any kind being made unless they are just offensive. I'm sure it's the same with just about everyone else here. I'm not entirely sure what this topic's purpose is if it isn't a request or showing off work in progress... Are we just supposed to discuss how cool a mod like that would be? Seems kinda pointless to me. |
Re: Mass effect species It does seem rather pointless, but I would like to see a salarian using The force, or I guess... Biotics, in this case? Now that would be a cool mod that'd be easy to make. Instead of The Force stuff, all of the effects are replaced with that of Biotic effects from Mass Effect. |
Re: Mass effect species lol, let the mass effect mod spam begin? reminds me of the TFU movement. |
Re: Mass effect species But way cooler. |

Re: Mass effect species I like the idea that Galen Marek survived, but for fuck's sake, that's such an obvious milking of the series. But really. We've gotta' have some Mass Effect stuff. |
Re: Mass effect species See this is kinda what i wanted to get going, for people to get their ideas rolling, like the Biotics in place of force, that sounds cool... while its not about species, hey, its something that hasnt been brought up before that seems interesting. sorry if this seems rather pointless but i just wanted to kinds throw something out there have it be a creative blender and maybe someone walks away with a new idea of something to do that they never would have thought of on their own.... Again srry if this seems pointless :O |
Re: Mass effect species Honestly, I could care less, but what I don't want to see is another TFU rally... |
Re: Mass effect species Won't happen- Mass Effect is a universe of infinate potential, and it's way better than TFU. Anyone who's played mass effect would likely be more than happy to make something from it. |
Re: Mass effect species like Inuri and that bad ass looking m-8 assault rifle? I think thats the only mass effect mod i have ever seen for this game... so why people are crying "ZOMG ZOMG TFU RALLY ALL OVER AGAIN!!!! AHHHH RUUUUNNN!!!" is beyond me... personally i think they need to take the development team behind TFU 2 behind an abandon brick building and execute them.... but thats just my oppinion. can we get a bit more on track though? like what from Mass effect and mass effect 2 would you like to see, characters, races, weapons? What or how they could be done to effectivly integrade into JA. I opened this to get peoples ideas out there and to collaberate on the subjuect a bit more, not to talk about TFU rallys... |

Re: Mass effect species Does Mass Effect have a melee fighting system on par with JA? If not I'll keep with JA. |
Re: Mass effect species Of course it doesn't- but it's still a wonderful game. Then again, not many games actually have such a wondeful fighting system- except for Oblivion After you download Deadly Reflex 5.1. DAMN That's a good system! Anyways, back on track. Hell, I still waste my time with JA, but can't keep my hands off Mass Effect 2. Almost done with my third playthrough, can't wait til' the next one! INSANE MODE BABY! Anyways, yeah. Mass Effect content could make JA awesomer. Can't wait for the M-8 rifle. That'll be so cool. But if I could model? I wouldhave already made the Starfighter thingy that you can see in one mission, and I wouldhave started work on the Kodiak Shuttle- or even that cool X3M spacecar. Why? Because we can't fly them in Mass Effect or ME2. But we can here! |
Re: Mass effect species Personally, I wouldn't mind whether or not a species pack was made. Logically, JA already has humans and the Asari are similar to Twi'leks. Turians are the only race that look cool and are different enough to justify a whole new species. Spoiler: |
Re: Mass effect species Asari/Twi'lek similarities are very, very limited. Turians are unique. Krogans are awesome. There's no race in Mass Effect similar to another, if you ask me. With the view that Asari are similar to Twi'leks, you might have not noticed that Asari are an entirely female appearing race. Same parts, and all. But, Asexual. Can reproduce with any species- but only Asari are born as a result. I would very much like to hear how similar you believe The Asari to be to The Twi'leks. The only similarity I see are tentacles on their head- that's it. |
