Btw, programs like Blender can render out models with no end of kool stuff. You can have automatic normalmaps, ambient occlusion, light diffusion, specular maps, colour overlays, motion blur, distance blur, OSA (subsampling anti aliasing), glow, fog, etc. All not hard to do. So thats why when your making a good version of it you would hit those switches.

You forgot to mention that the fully loaded shots are going to get taken anyway to go in the modeller's portfolio, so if you got them why not flaunt them a little bit?

well, this is a little more difficult to answer...

i actually have 2 rigs. the first is the base JKA skeleton, with added bones.

the second is my own rig.


i'm going to be using the edited JKA skeleton purely because i can't be bothered dicking around with all the tags and crap needed =/

If the skeleton is built properly XSI will create the IK solvers itself.

Ok, I guess I just have to dig into the XSI docs some more.

Another thing, it just occurred to me that the list of animations I posted is rather long. What I actually do have is a file that lists animations per function; and the function names roughy tell in which context the animations are used. If that would be of any help, just drop a word and I'll clean it up a bit and post it.

that would certainly be easier, knowing animations by functions means i won't have to mess around with random frame numbers.

Oh my, this is so awesome. If only I still played JKA and could actually play JKA MP... Eh. The modding possibilities with an accurate Revan model not illegal to port is endless.
