That is the sentence I was having trouble with. I wasn't sure if a more recent version dropped the female version as it was not canon, or if you were referring to the female version being "decanonized".

Anyway, that is why I mentioned that the character was often mistaken for female. As many players got used to the character being female, but cannot claim he was, as it is no longer "canon".

Darth Revan is male. The Jedi Exile is female. That's that.

She also used a cyan lightsaber, and two purple lightsabers seems to be a very popular assumption for Darth Revan. The attaktix or whatever it's called, figureine of the exile is of a feminine form. With a Cyan lightsaber, therefore confirming Wookieepedia's sayings.

As for revan having feminine hands... Well, he was... Different. /joke

I took a screen of the alternate Female Revan model from the game from a model viewer for KOTOR .mdl models; I dunno why the head doesn't show up; it might be because the original intent for the alternate was to reveal a female face for it, I'm not quite sure about that, but anyway, here's the screen I took. You can tell that it definitely has female lines to it:

the head doesn't show up, because the face is dependant on who you choose it to be in your portrait.

as far as kotor goes, in the comics/books/lucasarts official plot etc. revan is male, he was talented with a saber and while he is often seen with a single blade, it's assumed he mastered duel wielding at some point, as in kotor 2, you fight his image and he's using 2 blades, one orange, one purple.

the exile was female. and i doubt i'll be making her.

I believe that was the model shown in the video I posted...

The head doesn't show up because the mask was a seperate MDL. I think there were ten different heads to choose from, five male, five female.

Yes the intention was to allow it to reveal a female face. It was actually used in the game, and I played as the female Revan.

yah, basically it was a plot device that "ZOMG!! TWIST!!!" you're playing as revan. so it'd be a bit fucked up if it didn't have your head, no matter what gender.

This was possibly an unmasked "Revan" character for a TV commercial. Frankly, I'd go with this one if you wish to do an unmasked variant. It seems to kinda portray the whole revan feel.

That, and this face is very similar to the first one I played as. The one with the military buzzcut. So if you do actually use anything from that game as a basis, that face would be an excellent start.

Kay'... But the most likely one is the military cut one. Think about it. You're supposedly a republic recruit on Bastila's ship. It makes sense to have a haircut like that. Not only that, but you've also got the whole picture up there of the actual guy, bearing a very scary resemblance to said in game avatar.

So, that one makes more sense.
