Star Wars Chronicles is a Jedi Academy Modification that is being developed by the Chronicles Team since August 17th 2007. The idea is creating singleplayer missions that resembles to the six movies of the saga, something that many dreamt and couldn't do so far. We count with a huge number of members that are working to provide you the best quality and pleasure. MovieBattles Team, responsable for creating the famous MovieBattles II modification is supporting us.

After one year of problems, we finally released our first demo! You can check it right here on jk3files!


This demo covers the first level of the mod, still on Episode 1: The Phantom Menace where Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon fails the negotiations with Viceroy Gunray and have to make their way to escape the Trade Federation ship. We want to assure you that what you will experience in the demo doesn't show all the features, actually it was just a beta so you guys could give a look on what is expected for the single player missions.

There will be no donations or any connection with money, this project is enterely free. The only thing that we need is time and your patience to wait; we want to release a quality mod, so that takes time which most of us don't have since we work/study. This is a mod made by JA and Star Wars fans to fans.

Needs;

Currently we have enough members for the progress of the mod but we would never turn away volunteers, if you want to apply for the team or get the info about the latest progress, you should visit us at;

Current Updates; (3/1/2009)

We have been working on many missions and duels lately. We have released little update since the demo but soon we will burst out what we have. Lately we have been working on beta testing some duels.

Thanks to Darth Norman, he gave permission for his "Battle Over Coruscant" map and I assure you, it is great.

The version I had was created from a decompiled version of the map, I am sorry for the lighting. All the maps are used by obtained permission.

Epic lighting fail. Word of advice -- if you're going to decompile maps and attempt to make a mod like this, know how to put them back together again.

As I said that was the beta version I had. We do not decompile maps for the mod. We have the .map file of the original now. Just, I didn't have it to put in and for some reason this forum won't let me edit...

Seems like a very interesting project, because unlike so many before you, you actually can produce real results. Jolly good. It's also a splendid idea to get location maps from good MP mappers when possible. I'm glad you managed to get them.

However, I hope the project features more than only epic duels in very restricted places.

Both, I s'pose. They decompiled the map and scripted some stuff, but because it had horrible lightning they asked the author of map for the original .map files, which they got.

The map was decompiled because our scripter wanted to start working on it before we got the permission and the files. The decompiled map was only used for the test of the scripts, we never use decompiled map for the actual released mod.

We have been working on a lightning shader but as seen it is still WIP and lightning effect itself is missing.
