Is it possible to spawn as an x-wing in a single player map. If so how is that done.

Go into any SP map.

Press Shift and ~ to bring down the console.

Type "helpusobi1".

Type "npc spawn vehicle xwing"

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Actually it's "npc spawn vehicle x-wing" not xwing.

If you spawn a x-wing you will probably crash into something...
Spawn a rancor instead, it eats enemies ;).

Only if you don't use notarget. Or noclip through the floor.

Just be sure to actually name the rancor npc when you spawn it, otherwise you can't kill it without killing everything else, and you don't want to do that.

To name an NPC simply enter your NPC command as you normally would but put a name on the end e.g.

/npc spawn rancor steve

Mines names are bob and steve, they pretty well kick ass, they all sneaky and stuff (cept how do I make em good guys?)

The NPC files contain various personality traits, look for:

playerTeam
enemyTeam

An example of an ally NPC would be:

playerTeam TEAM_PLAYER
enemyTeam TEAM_ENEMY

An example of an enemy NPC would be:

playerTeam TEAM_ENEMY
enemyTeam TEAM_PLAYER

/npc spawn stormtrooper bob TEAM_PLAYER

then they would be on my team yes?

I don't think so.

You'd need to edit the NPC files found in assets under the ext_data folder.
