Default [REQUEST]Slipknot Modelpack

PS: This isn't a band-discussion topic. As you can see, I took some time creating this topic, as it is something I really want to be considered, and I'd be glad if people could understand and respect that. Dislike Slipknot and want people to know it? Go somewhere else, pal.

Well, I've done a SlipKnoT skinpack sometime ago, but I won't even post pictures of it. It looked fine for the people who required it, but for you to imagine, Corey Taylor used Quinlan Vos's model...

Then, I've found Sora Bulq's model that for some reason I don't know, has a straight hair model on it. I found it perfect to start redoing the pack (at least for Corey) but I got busted again: the torso I needed wasn't skinned by default, and there's no way to figure out how's the UVmap done to that thing. Tried everything, painting random colors and looking at Modview. No success. Tried posting it here:

http://forums.filefront.com/sw-jk3-m...npack-wip.html

No success.

Well, where does that take us?

Slipknot has released a new album, All Hope Is Gone (AHIG), and that made me think about them in JK3 again. But this time, I think that requesting a modelpack is the best I can do. I know there are JA Players-Slipknot fans out there (me!) willing to have them ingame.

In case you don't know, Slipknot changes uniform and masks for each album. The ones they've released so far are:

Slipknot (self-titled)
IOWA
Vol3: Subliminal Verses
All Hope Is Gone

If someone is interested, here go my suggestions:

1 - Nine different models:

#0 - Sid Wilson
  • Three head models (self-titled and IOWA mask, Vol3 mask, AHIG mask)
  • Two torsos (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, necktie and tuxedo for Vol3 and AHIG)
  • Two leggings (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, pants for Vol3 and AHIG)
#1 - Joey Jordison
  • Head model (just adding a few spikes for AHIG version)
  • Two torso models (short sleeved jumpsuit - Self-titled and IOWA, short sleeved shirt - Vol3 and AHIG)
  • Two leg models (folded up jumpsuit - Self-titled and IOWA, folded up pants - Vol3 and AHIG)
#2 - Paul Gray
  • Two head models (self-titled pig mask, IOWA-Vol3-AHIG masks)
  • Two torsos (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, shirt for Vol3 and AHIG)
  • Two leggings (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, pants for Vol3 and AHIG)
#3 - Chris Fehn
  • One head model (masks are only different in color)
  • Two torsos (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, shirt for Vol3 and AHIG)
  • Two leggings (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, pants for Vol3 and AHIG)
#4 - James Root (Jim)
  • Two head models (self-titled and IOWA masks, Vol3-AHIG masks with longer hair for AHIG mask)
  • Two torsos (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, shirt for Vol3, necktie for AHIG)
  • Two leggings (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, pants for Vol3 and AHIG)
#5 - Craig Jones (133 MHz)
  • Two head models (self-titled mask, IOWA-Vol3-AHIG masks)
  • Two torsos (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, shirt for Vol3 and AHIG)
  • Two leggings (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, pants for Vol3 and AHIG)
#6 - Shawn Crahan (Clown)
  • Four head models (self-titled clown mask, devil clown IOWA mask, Vol3 banded clown mask, AHIG clown mask)
  • Three torsos (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, necktie and tuxedo for Vol3, sweater-thing for AHIG)
  • Two leggings (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, pants for Vol3 and AHIG)
#7 - Mick Thomson
  • One head model (masks got slight differences that can be skinned out)
  • One (or two) torsos (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, shirt was used inside the pants in Vol3 and AHIG, so jumpsuit will do)
  • Two leggings (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, pants for Vol3 and AHIG)
#8 - Corey Taylor
  • Three head models (self-titled and IOWA mask, Vol3 mask, AHIG mask)
  • Three (or four) hairstyles (thin dreadlocks for self-titled mask, thick ones for IOWA mask, straight hair for Vol3, *off or short curly hair for AHIG)
  • Two torsos (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, shirt for Vol3 and AHIG)
  • Two leggings (jumpsuit for self-titled and IOWA, pants for Vol3 and AHIG)
2 - A single model, containing everything

This one could be used on SP selecion with nice icons, allowing people to use any mask of any member with any of the clothes.

Well, that's it. IF there's anyone out there willing to do it, I'll support with all the possible images one may need to complete this project (yeah, I got the sources ;]), and I also offer myself for the skinning of everything, as I've already done before.

Thanks for your attention.

Well I for one like Slipknot as well. Well, the guitarists, I'm not a metal fan really but they are talented. I would help but I am too busy and too incapable!! But good luck on this, it would turn out very well if it was ever finished.

And the post of the year award goes to...

I've had this idea bubbling away inside my head since I joined the forum. The main problem it that ones like Joey, with the crown of thorns etc, would need a new model...

Singles may not be considered as albums, and Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat was released in the begginings of Slipknot and it's not considered by them as an album. Also, there aren't any pictures or videos about them on M.F.K.R "tour", so it is a little difficult to model/skin something you can't see.

Just in case:

I'd like to see this completed. I'm not much of a fan of their music, but they look cool. I bet a Weequay reskin could pass off Corey...not sure about the rest of them, though...

Thinking you are at the top of the food chain is a great way to end up at the bottom of the nutrition pyramid.

Real-life humans in modern day clothes do not require a new model.
