Default .efx and switches

I want to have a Fx run when i press a button, a steam_jet actually, now i was wondering how to do this since it doesn;t appear richdiesals tuorials cover this aspect

Make a trigger_multiple and connect it to the efx. Make sure you take USE BUTTON in the func_usable. Also check if the efx needs a checkbox where it starts off or something.

how do i make the fx stop running after X amount of time?

trigger(without wait)->fx_runner(start_off)
trigger(same trigger as above)->target_relay(with wait X)->fx_runner(same as above)

OR.. you make a script ^^
