Deleting Saber Trail
 

I was just wondering anyone could tell me if i could delete the saber trail when u do that special move without getting rid of the whole saber(just the trail).
If it is were do i go and what do i delete?

trailStyle 2 in the .sab file will remove the saber trail.

Ok im totally lost, i cant find trailStyle 2 in assets 0,1,2 or 3 in any files, looked in efx, saber folders etc....
Would u please tell me which folders it would be in. Like Base/assets 1...etc.... or in japlus directory.

I already told you you need to look in the .sab files. And it's not there. If it was there you wouldn't have trails. You need to add it.

Alternatively you should be able to type cg_saberTrail 0 in the console. (At-least, for MP. Not sure about SP but it should be the same)

im sorry that this is an old one, but i tryed the cg_sabertrail 0 and everything, and i had trailstyle 2 saved in all my saber_1 - 9 filed, but they refuse to save... and cg_trailstyle 0 wont work either...

EDIT: and im trying it for SP cause i dun rly wanna play MP

So are you trying to get rid of the saber trail for all swings or just the kata moves?
The line "trailstyle 2" will remove both the regular trail and the kata one.
If you add this line to the single1-9 you will need to extract the .sab files and make them into a .pk3 like a regular mod. If you are trying to change them in the assests1.pk3 it will not save.

If you just want to change the kata trail or regular trail without affecting the other that is not possible. The kata trail is the regular trail just told to last longer than default.

Place in Gamedata\Base folder to remove trails from all default sabers. Close thread nao?
