Crysis Model
 

Hello everyone,

This is a simple modle/skin request.

When i saw the first pic of the guy from the game Crysis, i LIKED SO MUCH HIS ARMOR.
Then, on my RPG server, i decided to create a guy with the nickname 'Crysis'....but i didn't have any skin which even looksl ike the guy.

Well i simply ask you, skinners and modders, if you can make it for me and any Fan of this game.

I'm a very bad skinner and i don't know how to model :(

Yes i hope so...But they seems lazy these times :(

Lazy? You can't take your time to learn even the basics of modeling and you call us lazy? The tutorials and tools are but two clicks away and you can't bring yourself to sacrifice an hour or two and just try something?

I believe it was Ben Mathis who wrote that the difference between the people who work to have something they want and the people who want others to do it for them is that the former like having the end result, whereas the latter like the idea of having the end result.

Owned. But he's right...Did you ever stop and think, maybe it's not that they're lazy...But that your request is stupid or uninteresting?

Every time I check the forum(several times a day) there's more requests. What the hell is wrong with you people? Can't you take a vacation?

First i said they 'SEEMS' to be lazy, i idn't say they ARE.
Second, i would love to skin or model but 2 things makes not able to do :

1- I'm Timeless these with school and other stuff...
2- I'm a VERY BAD drawer ! i tried to reskin a swamptrooper once to make him a Space Marine...it was...simply...Horrible...

Practice makes perfect. Modelers and skinners have lives to attend to as well, you know. If you aren't willing to spend the time to make it, then why should they?

Because there are some random noobz who asks for models, gets it, uses them 1 month then forget them..and leaves JKA.

Each skin i ask to make are USED the whole time i'm in my charcacters on the RPG server. i'm on the server nearly whole day when i can. It means i use it often.

You have the time to play a game all day and you don't have the time to improve your drawing skills and perhaps try something new? And you blame others for coming up with a request a modder is interested in?

Let me tell you something, I can't draw worth a damn. And yet here I am, making models, texturing models, improving myself with each and every try.

Some one reskin the dhadow trooper, add a bulk shader, add some other fancy shaders, get sounds, and your done! It doesnt take an artist to skin. 3D modifacation and 2D drawings are totally different.

YOU gave up, that's a total diferent matter, gift or talent, that's loosers excuse and an offense denegate the amount of effort set by those who try harder.

Well, if you want to stop the arguement, then just ignore him, even though what he said was for the most part true.

What's even more funny, is how an open topic can turn into a locked topic.

Anyway, I'm all for stopping. Xenogray, the best I can say is that maybe some beginner will take it up but if even that fails, you'll probably have to take to skinning yourself. The two aforementioned models would probably suit for a reskin and you can always come asking here for advice on how to make your work better.

*Very Slowly* Okay a bulk shader is a code that you put on a player model/skin that makes it a bit more bulky hence the name "bulk" shader.:nodding: Am I going too fast for you? Wait for the game to come out (I forget when) and get sounds. And I used fancy shader as in "any random effects you wanna add" KK?:rolleyes:

ummm yea shadow might not work unless u like mix the Body and Arms of Gray fox and the Head and legs of the shadow cause then it would look almost right

Right, grey fox or actually the shadowtrooper model would work out just fine for this. I'm actually playing the Crysis beta right now. I'd provide source images to work from if I could. But I'm under a pretty strict NDA. But I can nudge you in the right direction if you guys need any help.

Well I'm not making it. I never said I would, I was just saying what to do for it.
