dazedkiller501 September 25th, 2007 08:42 AM

anybody?

katanamaru September 25th, 2007 01:11 PM

Most of those models are found on the same site as the mod itself. What is the problem? Browse the models catagories for JO and JA and you will find them.

dazedkiller501 September 25th, 2007 03:29 PM

I did and nothing I found quigon in jk2files and the problem is when I search for likt sasee tiin on jk2 and jk3 files I can't find it :(

katanamaru September 28th, 2007 09:34 AM

Try harder. And don't use the search feature, it sucks. Just browse.

vader: Darth Vader, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Star Wars
maul: Darth Maul, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Star Wars
dooku: Count Dooku / Lord Tyranus, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Star Wars
sidious: Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Star Wars
fisto: Kit Fisto, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Star Wars

For some older files also try: jk2files.jediknight.net, massassi.net, and lucasfiles.com.
Seriously it took like 5 mins to find just these.

stikk September 28th, 2007 11:32 PM

How does it suck? It searches for files, like it is meant to do.

katanamaru October 1st, 2007 10:15 AM

Just whenever I try to use it I usually don't get any results for what I want. It may work for other people, which is great, but I just don't get the results I am looking for. So I tend to browse and find files that way.

I figured Dazed had the same problem as I did if he couldn't find the models.

Inyri Forge October 1st, 2007 10:44 AM

That doesn't mean the search sucks. It probably just means you don't know how to search properly and/or don't know the proper keywords to use. For instance our search will not know that if you put in obiwan that you really meant Obi-wan.

DemonCloud October 1st, 2007 11:46 AM

search doenst suck, its a little good tool a lot of people miss and judge wrong....

p.s: what happend to your site? everytime i try to go there it says Server Wasnt Found (dont know what it is in english, as i have an swedish computer, so thats my try)

Inyri Forge October 1st, 2007 02:22 PM

AtSpace is probably just being uppity. Happens from time to time and then it comes back up.

Bout the Search since we are on the subject, why soesn't it allow us to search by Author.

stikk October 1st, 2007 08:50 PM

Well, if FileFront end up getting that user profile thingy set up, we wont need one.

Inyri Forge October 1st, 2007 08:58 PM

Is there a certain author you would like looked up?

Eh, my best guess regarding the reason it hasn't been implemented, is simply because the network uses a shared database. It's just got way too much data in it, and having maybe fifteen SQL queries run against it by at least fifty people at any one time, would put too much strain on the webserver.

These servers can't even process the forum's member list without slowing down, stalling and/or occasionally flaking out. God only knows what'd happen if they had to run multiple queries against the entire network.

yodaman123 October 2nd, 2007 04:00 AM

Well pcgamemods had that and they didnt have any submittion polocies thus they had 2x as much files and if you searched by author it didnt slow down.

Kyross October 2nd, 2007 09:04 AM

But liek he said, shared database. Filefront has sites for I'd guess at least 40 games, and over 48 Tb of mods...PCgamemods may have had a few more JKA mods, but betwen it's five games to three dozen on filefront it really stacks up. Especially since most of pcgamemods' files were junky reskins and minor tweaks to already exiring mods.
