would this be possible

i very much doubt that this would be possible but i want to achive a real terminator effect so iwant to able to press a key and a skelington of a terminator turns ito the liquid trminator then hit the key again and it turns into a t800 with a skin like i said though i think its impossible

Alathar June 23rd, 2007 10:33 AM

Not impossible at all. Just bind ur keys to npc configs.
If you give the link to the models u want, I can mod it for you.

lewis1991 June 23rd, 2007 10:37 AM

thanks m8 but the stuff i wish to do this with hasnt even been made yet lol see i want to to it with the T-1000 (liquid to man) and the TX (skellington to liquid to woman)

Jose Carlos June 23rd, 2007 10:44 AM

You want the transformation itself? Yeah, that's pretty close to impossible.

^Pirate June 23rd, 2007 11:04 AM

Well, one way to do it would be to make a new skin file, and copies of the already existing textures. Then you would make a shader, that turns the entire model into chrome.

So what you would do then, is to make a script, that should when triggered swap between characters, from the "real terminator", to the "liquid" one, and then to the t800.

Bind a key to execute the script. And add wait keys into the script so it would seem as if it's transforming.

could u please make it so the chiss terminator transforms into the t1000 when i press a certain key

Anson992 June 23rd, 2007 12:10 PM

Well, like he said you can't actual do a transformation. But like he said, you can bind the model to a key config, so when you press the button you made it they would swap models.... no fancy transformations though.

Lolz, thats all I can add other than, yeah... what Pirate said...

lewis1991 June 24th, 2007 02:29 AM

ok i suppose that will have to do then how do i bind models to a key then

Alathar June 24th, 2007 03:08 AM

It won't be exactly a 'transformation', but i'll describe it anyways.
First you need to know what the model is called, in this example i'll call it t1000.

Ok, in the game console, type:

\bind o playermodel t1000

So, if you press the o button on yer keyboard, you'll change into a t1000.

That's for mp.

For SP do the same, but instead of the model name (t1000) change it to the npc config name.

Thats all I can say for now, I'll need the models myself to give more info.

\bind t models\players\t1000
than
\bind y models\players\t1000\liquid

than you can press t and y to "transform" in t1000 and liquid.

sorry if this is a stupid question but what is game console also how do i know what npc config name is

Green-Flash June 25th, 2007 08:43 AM

Well your console is the thing you can pull up when ingame by pressing shift and the button above tab and left from 1 (on your average keyboard).

It basicaly changes certain aspects of the game without having to spend time coding it in.

Alathar June 25th, 2007 09:16 AM

The same console where you activate your cheats.

Anson992 June 25th, 2007 09:44 AM

In order to know the NPC config name you'll most likely have to either read the readme, or you'll have to open up its .pk3 and look for it yourself.

Basically, once you get the models you can send them my way and I'll tell you what the NPC config is.

ok thanks
