looks like he converted the sub-d mesh into a polymesh, thats why in some of the pics it looks like it was subdivided a couple of times (meshsmoothed).

are u using a normal map to keep the subdivisions on the low poly model by any chance?

JA doesnt support normal mapping, one of the reasons i ditched it.

Toshi, I have to say that what you are showing here is a rarity. For someone to have a new model and a skin quality that matches (or will soon match) Hapslash's quality is quite amazing. I'm looking forward to the completion of this model, you have seriously impressed me.

The skin quality isn't really that close to HapSlash's. It's not bad, but the body has very little definition and the face looks photosourced (although properly photosourced). In any case, if he had skinned the face, then the body textures would have surely been of equal caliber (and they're not). Oddly enough the same goes for the body mesh as compared to the head mesh...
